Podium Success for Ian Duggan & Joe Wheeler at Snetterton British GT 2025
After the disappointment at Spa-Francorchamps just a few weeks ago, Ian and Joe bounced back in spectacular fashion at Snetterton with an impressive performance across the British GT Championship double-header weekend.
Strong Start in Race 1
The schedule featured two one-hour races, and the duo started strong. In Race 1, they secured 6th overall in the GT4 Championship and claimed a well-earned 3rd place podium in the Pro-Am category – a fantastic result to kick off the weekend.
Drama and Determination in Race 2
Race 2 brought drama and determination. Joe Wheeler began the stint in 4th, holding his ground well against heavy pressure. However, an aggressive move by a passing GT3 car forced him off the track, dropping them back to 6th. Ian Duggan took over for the second half and delivered a commanding drive, taking full advantage of two drive-through penalties issued to rivals while pulling off several clean overtakes.
Thrilling Finish and Double Podium
In a thrilling finish, Ian held off fast-closing competitors in the final laps to bring the car home in 2nd place overall in GT4 and 2nd in Pro-Am – their best result yet!
Championship Battle Heats Up
This strong performance pushes Ian & Joe to 4th in the Pro-Am standings, now just 4 points shy of the top three. With momentum on their side, everything is still to play for as the championship heats up.
Next Stop: Brands Hatch – 23rd & 24th August
Following a fantastic weekend at Snetterton, Ian & Joe now head to Brands Hatch for the penultimate round of the British GT Championship.
